Default Intake help

what up folks,

so my injen cold air intake came in today and i tried to install the thing. i drive an '04 accord coupe, 4cly. but...i ran into a slight problem. i got all the sensors and hoses and clamps all taken care of (which was a freakin pain) but the only problem is, i couldnt completely remove the stock air crap. i mean, i got the box removed, the hose that goes into the throttle body taken care of, but i couldnt get the actual 'intake' part of the stock stuff. it seems to curve underneath some metal bars and goes around the inside of the fender wall. i was just wondering if anyone knew a good way to access the thing to take it off. like, should i pull the crap out from underneath, through the top, are there screws/bolts that i have to take care of from the bottom, etc.

b/c my intake is a 2piece, its functioning as a short ram for now, but...i dont want it to stay that way. -___- so yeah, if anyone could holla back about the air box stuff, id totally appreciate it. the sooner the better :P

If its like my '96, I just left it there, it aint hurtin nothin

Actually, after I read your entire post, you said its a two piece. Does it rain a lot or snow where you live?? If it does, you may want to leave it as a short ram, cause if you put it behind the bumper, you run the risk of water hitting it all the time.

Either you can take off your bumper(piece of cake!!!) or you can remove the resonator through the driver's side wheel wall or watever you call it...the resonator is HUGE though!
