Default Fan: speed/settings 1 and 2 doesn't work

Like what the subject said, when I turn on my fan, fan speed 1 and 2 does not work. BUT it does work when I put it on 3 or 4. Everything works fine; a/c, heat, cold, defroster..... just not when it's on 1 or 2. Anyone have an idea? I don't want to end up taking my car to a stupid dealer. And for the new people on the forum, I have an '01 accord with 60k. I'll try checking for loose connections and such.

I think that's an electrical problem that requires changing the circuit board behind the controls but I'm not entirely sure.

Sounds like the fan speed resistor, it's usually mounted in the fan housing so it doesn't overheat. Maybe take out the glovebox to see it??

You could also check out the fan speed switch itself - got a multi-meter?
