WTF do I do now?
OKay i made the thread about getting a new car and sellling the Accord. But now an accident has basically killed my plan
Ive gotten in an accident before. two actually. Thats cuz i was only 16 and wasnt really paying attention. Ive learned from then.
However, i kind of drive like a maniac. tailgaiting and stuff like that. I dont know why. Even if i have nowhere to go im somehow in a rush. Im not quite sure whats wrong.
Anyways i got in an accident last week and the other persons insurance said it was my fault. I went around lots of cars on the right which i thought was the second lane. Thats cuz about 50 yards up from where it happens two lanes are on each side of the road for the stop sign. I wanna to be in the right lane anyways so i moved over. Then the people in the left lane let some lady go and she pulled out in front of me and we T-boned. Decent damage to her car, not that much to mine. Anyways it turns out to be my fault since it wasnt offiicialy a second lane, since there were no white lines meaning i was illegaly passing on the right. Its basically an unwritten rule, since when the lines designating two lanes actually appear, the road does not get wider.
I argued that there are no yellow lines either so why i couldnt just start driving on the left hand side of the road. But, for some strange reason, the scene of the accident was repaved with new yellow lines that have never been there before for years and years.
Anyways my bumper is pushed in, the grill is crack, the right bumper light is gone and my hood is misaligned. Also the big fan for the radiator (the one on the left if ur looking from straight ahead) is clipping one of the engine mounts. it makes a horrible noise of a chain saw or a lawnmower when i idle for two long or the AC turns on. esp when idling in a drive through. the people ahead of me always turn around and stare at me and my car with disguist...i need to fix that
I wanted to get another car but now since my insurance is gonna go up again and i have to pay for repairs myself, im thinking i should just get the wings west kit or the mugen lips and side skirts, the type R grill, and then new black bumper lights. then hook my car up. mainly, the thing i hate the most is the slowness, the bumpers (the back sticks up. 96-97 looks better and....the front slopes down...too roundy. the newer and older ones arent as sloped.)
and the interior color. its beige and i want black.
well yeah i dont know. i wanted either an eclipse, a mustang, or a grand am. next year ill by one of those as a second car or something.

It doesn't matter how wide the lane is...if there's no designation of a lane then there's no lane. Passing on the right=dumb. That's how my neice got killed. I see people do it all the time. They don't want to wait on someone to make a left turn in front of them. They'd rather take a chance.
Learn to drive a car with some self-control before you consider something with more power. Besides, your insurance co. is going to nail you hard, now.

I see those type of drivers all the time.....Riding on the right lane cause they are so impatient.......

Or better yet just realize your actions could kill someone......ex:::someone standing in your " imaginary lane" which is just a shoulder....wand then WAM!!!!!!........

in Ohio its legal to pass on the right as long as your car can fit
its in the newest permit books... it reads "if your car can saftly fit on the right of a car of slower speed or turning, then you are legaly allowed to pass..." althouth just like passing on the left, if any accidents occur you are at fault

Yeah, i got in an accident passing on the left last thursday. But they havent determined whos at fault yet. You arent automaticlly at fault if you pass on the left or right and get into an accident, there are always exceptions to rules. But yeah, anyways, i feel for you dude, but just slow it down a bit. Just learn to control your impulses a lil bit, and this kinda accident should never happen again.
