Default Disable seatbelt warning in a 2005 Accord...

I have a 2005 Accord EX and the seatbelt warning light continues to go off and warn you until you fasten it. Outside of fastening the seatbelt, is there a sequence to perform in order to disable the continuous warning? Also, am i correct in calling it a beltminder?

Because its annoying to hear repeatedly. If im moving my car or something I dont really need to be warned. I have friends who have been able to stop the repeated warning. My 2002 Maxima just displayed a light with no warning beep. I just want to disable the beep. The light can stay on.

It is nice. Good power for a 4cyl. Got the EX-L in 5spd to get the most out of it. Yea eventually I will figure it out, if there is a way.

Okay, how long does it take you to move a car? 15 seconds, 30 seconds? I'll send you some ear plugs.

I have the exact same car, tho '04. I agree that engine is great for a 4....love it. But regardless of what others are saying, i too would like to disable it. I don't wear it when going to the store a block away and while i can live with it, i'd still like it disabled.
By the way, just a tip...try Lexol to condition the leather. Some leather conditioners are horrible such as mquires which is like using armourall ! On a few recommendations i tried Lexol and it works great. I was also told woolite mixed with water (1 pt wollite to 6 pts water) is good for cleaning it, and that Lexus recommends that for thier leather cars. Just a tip that may save you the hassle of researching it or buying lousy products if you haven't had a leather equipped car before.

I'm not trying to start anything, but it only takes one block for an SUV to ram right into you. You can be the best driver in the world and still get into an accident. And it takes like 2 seconds to put on a seatbelt. Just put it on and get over it. :driving: smart.

My grandfather used to complain about his newer cars doing this. Then he just put on his seat belt.
