A few of my friends with 91 Honda Accords have had problems with their ECU and had to have them replaced. Just yesterday while driving from work I noticed that the speedometer suddenly dropped to 0 and did not work at all, however the Tach works fine. After about 5 minutes, the green Sports Mode light flashes on and off repeadely. Then 3-5 minutes after that, the engine check light comes on. When the car is turned off for awhile, and started back up, everything works fine, except for the speedometer which intermitantly works now and then. Someone at the auto parts shop said it wouldn't be the ECU, or my car wouldn't of started at all. Has anyone in here encountered this problem? Ca anyone give me any troubleshooting tips on how to fix this? Any input will be greatly appreciated!

 

I had the ECU for my auto go and it did all sorts of funny shiaaat like that. It even eventually kept it from starting. sometime it worked sometimes it didn't. Then to top it off the on they used to replace it with was no good also.......so I had to go back again.
