Default cat-converter leak

I just got a hi-flow cat put on yesterday. there is a slight leak coming from the front of it though. he said that it will seal eventually because of rust. is there a way to fix this or is he just right?

I'd get it replaced... (sorry, can't answer your question if it'd seal up its self or not... but I do know you're loosing gas milage... and it prob doesn't sound to great, either... happened to me, too...)
