Default HELP ...valve cover gasket kit help!!

i have a 94 accord and i noticed some oil around three of the spark plugs,
after searching this forum ,i thought that this is probably the valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets that need to be changed .... (doesnt sound too hard for me ) So i went ahead and bought the kit and took off the valve cover ...

now i can see where almost all the new components in my kit go

1 - the valve cover gasket -obvious
2 - the 4 spark plug tube seals ( the thicker ones go around the hole where the spark plug wire tube goes into .
3 - the 4 valve cover gromets - ok , these are also obious as i had to take the old ones out to take off the valve cover.

***4 - here where I AM STUCK - the 4 spark plug seals ( O rings) - I DONT KNOW WHERE THESE GO AS I CANNOT FIND OLD ONES ON THE CAR

PLEASE ANYONE ANSWER ASAP as the car is opened up

thanks for the replies !!

on the underside of valvecover. turn your old one over to see how they go in or just guess right its 50/50 . they are placed on the valve cover where it meets the spark plugs. kind of tight fit usually may need to lube.

Maybe #19??
Those look like they're underneath the camshaft bearing caps.

You are correct jim, the #19 is the smaller o-ring seals that go under the rocker assembly. In the picture honda only shows you one o-ring, however there is actually four o-rings and if you click #19 on the parts catalog it will show you need four...
I've been through this a few times with this subject. It sucks cause the civic manual and the catalog show four seals in the break down, accord's do not. It's confusing if you haven't gone through it before.

Drooby, if you are to attempt changing them BE CAREFUL!.
You need to pay attention. Get the factory manual. Torqing the rocker assembly in order and to the right spec. is critical. The big bolt heads are 16 ftlbs. and the little heads are 9 ftlbs.

If you're lucky, your leak was coming from the upper sparkplug seals, the ones you put into the valve cover. If so, then it'll quit leaking. If you put those in, & it quits leaking, I'd declare victory & quit worrying. Nobody can say over the net which ones were actually leaking.

If it keeps leaking, then you gotta do those lower seals. Your valve-cover gasket should still be ok to take off & put back on. Those things get hard & brittle with age & heat, but that doesn't happen very quickly. Got a repair manual for a good procedure for R&R camshaft & caps??
