90 ex coupe. few questions.
Hi all! 2 years after selling my 89 accord, I just got an 90 coupe, dirt cheap, its got some issues, but overall the drivetrain and clutch / tranny are solid. All i can say is DAMN its fast compared to my 89. :-D
milage is very high 255,000, engine runs fine though. I do need to adjust the idle, not sure how to do that, kind of looking to purchase a shop manual or shop cd, cheap, you know the one the honda parts guys use when they look up a part, and print all the info about that part, or just the honda shop manual in paper form. Dont want to pay 300 bucks for it new though, thats only 50 bucks less than i paid for the car.
the brakes make a click sound a second after applying the brakes, not sure where i should be looking on this one.... The car stops fine, no squeaks or squeals.
its got some rust, you know the typical honda crap, dont really want to go the bondo route, is there a fiberglass patch solution? I dont mind using some filler, but i dont really want gobs in there to fill in holes, you know?
I guess i could go the weld route...
anyone have any experience cutting out the silencer crap in the exhaust? I want to keep the cat, and muffler, but dont really care about a silencer, my main reason is its pretty bad rust wise, and i dont feel like paying to get a new one.
thanks!
(it feels good to own and drive a honda again :-) )
