Default 99 Accord Ex v6

I have about 70,000 miles on it and my transmisssion is going, slipping like crazy.
Hard shifts. I called Honda and a lady in the service dept told me recalls were only for 00-02??/ As far as she's concerned. my question is how accurate is that? And should I have Honda pay for this?

70k is way too early for your tranny to go. Mine went at 150k. You changed the fluid and took good care of it?

Yeah mine started shifting real hard on 2-3 and idling loud, then eventually it started slipping if it shifted at all. I would raise holy hell with Honda...if they dont replace it for free you'd get a hefty discount. I had an O2 sensor go just after warranty and I got Honda to replace it for free because it was just too premature...they'll stand behind their products, you just have to push them a bit and remind them that you're young and will be buying many more cars in the future, with or without an H on them But I had 150k so it was way too late for me. I can't complain.

And it wasn't a recall, it was a 7 year/100k mile extended warranty on the tranny. It only applied to 00-02 Accord V6s and a bunch of TL/CL/Odysseys.
