120 watts divided among the front drivers tweeters (components) and rear 6x9's for all models excpt......180 watts for the 6 cylinder ex.

Thats subjective. To my ear it's as good as some after market systems. With a good CD it's actually great. Literally 3 times as good as the stock civic audio IMO.

Get some new ears. j/k It really depends upon what you mean by "blast music". The Accord EOM sound system is good as compared to cars in its class. It can't compete with OEM sound systems in most luxury cars and certainly can't compete with virtually any aftermarket system.

well my cousins TSX is stock 360 watts. My 01 Accord Sedan i upgraded it i bought a Pioneer Head Unit 50 x 4 watt. With a Sony Xplod 1000wat to power my 2 10" subs.. My moms Lexus RX330 also has a good system, i think its around 132 watt (9 speaker).. hopefully if i choose to get the coupe i will be happy with the stock audio.. if not i'll deal with it for a couple weeks/months till i buy a new one.

Again, it depends upon what you want your system to do. If you want people to hear you coming from down the street, it ain't gonna happen. If you want to be able to roll down the windows and drive 90mph on the freeway and be able to hear your music, you're probably not going to be happy. If you just want to listen to music at a moderate level, you should be satisfied. I certainly wouldn't recommend paying for any kind of factory upgraded audio system. Your $$$ will always go further with aftermarket gear.

I think my Accord stock sound system sounds fine, no need to fix it if it ain't broke. But, on the flip side, I have added, some subs, and an AMP. Since I got an 03, I didn't have the OEM XM radio option, so I installed an XM receiver to my AUX input connector.

I have an 04 Accord EX coupe, no XM, no nav. The system is quite good. Bass response is decently strong and the system will get more than loud enough to completely overcome road noise... with the windows and moonroof closed. With the windows open on the highway I can't really hear most of the bass, but I don't particularly care.

The steering wheel audio controls are awesome, though, and would be useless with an aftermarket head unit. Also, the dashboard panel in which the head unit sits contains the HVAC controls, so putting in an aftermarket unit will look wierd.
