Does it act like it's in neutral or like it's in park? Or something else altogether? Does it make BAD noises, or just engine-revving noises?

If you can get it into reverse by playing with the shift lever, then maybe it just needs the shift cable adjusted.

... but don't let me stop you from checking your tranny fluid. That's always a good thing to check at least every few weeks.

Default reply to no reverse

it sounds similar to whenever a baseball card is hooked on by the bike tires (thats the best i can explain that, we all did it before) and it wont move i havent actually gotten out and pushed it or anything because i dont wanna further damage it. all the other gears work just fine, just no reverse

Sounds like the tranny has checked out. Any problems in any other gears?

aren't there different control arm type things for reverse. It seems like there would be one there for all the forward gears, and then a separate one for reverse. Is there any way it could be something simple like that?
