Default question about mileage...

does any of ur accords consume much gasoline on startup? even when i warm up my car, the needle drops like half a mm. also, about how much gas does the car eat up when u reset the ecu? i usually end up setting my ecu every month for some reason or another...

i put in around 10.001 gallons and i could squeeze out around 220 miles? most of it was street. i put in another 22 bucks (10.7 gal) and drove 120 highway miles already, do you think i still can put another 100 miles with my remaining 6 gal? (that only averages 16 mpg...)

another random question, what are those 4-5 metal lines that come from the back to the front of the car? that rock i hit dented/bent those lines but nothing leaks yet.

I know some cars the gas gauge can be out of calibration on my 88 Accord when I fill it up it stops at 3/4 tank sometimes it goes all the way up but will drop quickly to the 3/4th mark also what mods do you have and do you have a lead foot as far as the lines are concerned I have to look under my car to see where exactly its coming frombut they are high pressure tubes if its coming from the back it could have something to do with the gas lines so that could be the very reason your gas mileage is poor hope this helps.

I noticed that my 04's gauge moves rather fast for the first 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank. After that it slows down noticably. As far as actual milage, i can't say for sure, but judging by how much $ i've been putting in it weekly compared to my 2001 civic, it seems like it's getting close to the civic in milage. But then since it's been broken in i've been stomping it more and it eats gas a lot quicker. So i've lately been going back to driving like i did when it was broken in. I think one reason it seems to get milage almost as good as the civic is that the civic was so much slower that i was always having to stomp it just to drive normally. (normally for me at least) But with the accord i can drive the same way with a far lighter foot because it's got a lot more acceleration and power. Ot, but i was really suprised at how much faster the accord is than my civic considering it's only got 45 more HP and is a heavier car.

my 96 accord is a little messed up, the speed at which the gas gauge moves increases as it gets towards empty.
so at 1/2 its more like 3/4, but 1/4 is more like 1/8, it is kinda screwy, i just know i have to put in gas when it hits 1/4 or otherwise it will just nosedive after like 25-540 miles to empty
