Default elec. experts- park, visor, and guage lights not working........

OK,

This is not for my accord but my wifes 99 odyessey-but figured would get more looks on this forum....

OK,

Not sure what happened, but I changed out my cd/dvd player in the dash of my 99 odyssey and replaced it with another one. Dont know if it was a coincidence or what but it was a simple replacement. When I was finished i noticed the tv's in the visors werent working??? I had them running off of the factory power wire that did go to the light in the visor, checked all of the fuses and no blown fuse anywhere? Also noticed last night that the park lights, and the light behind the gauges dont work either.

These 3 things seem to be the only things affected and definitely dont want to take it to the dealer to troubleshoot it> I figured there must be a fuse or something bad for all 3 to go out but cant find anything???? Checked all of the fuses twice.

I have an amp and remote start with keyless entry, but all of these things have been hooked up for over a year with no problems until I replaced the dvd player in the dash and shouldnt affect the factory stuff like this?

Experts help please!!!!!

No, A different DVD player, but one I had in it previously also. Took the old one out a month or so ago, but a new one in-something happened to it and swapped the old one back is when it occurred. But since I have an amp only hook up power ground, acc, remote to amp and rca's??? so I cant see any way it would affect these?

The radio harness is this a plug and play harness or did you actually cut the wires?
You need to see which is the 12V line that they tapped off into your radio for your tv's amps etc...

Seems like with the installation of the newer radio it could be that the wire for the powerplug could be located else where on the harness.

What I would do is find the line that supplies the 12v to your system from the back of the radio and see if you can directly connect it to the battery and see if that works.

Could also be if they installed a relay. They relay could of gone bad.

Meaning once you turn on the ignition switch that will send the 12v to open the relay and allow power to flow through to the audio devices.
Im a bit hung over so i hope my explanation is helpful if not p.m me or reply to this post.

I did all of the install, and the dvd players were simple plug and play, so shouldnt have caused a problem. The only relay I have is ign. power to the amp and 2 tv's in the headrests.

the 2 tv's in the visors are powered from the factory wiring for the lighted visor light.

I just cant think of what would make the park, visor, and guage lights all go out, and cant find a fuse??

Yes,

called a honda mechanic and over the phone told me what it was on mine.

I was unaware there was another fuse panel on the passenger side, it was the "small light" fuse.............took care of the problem!
