I have a friend who asked me if it would be worth getting a vtec controller for his 03 accord heres the thread any help would be appreciated I figure your the experts on this. Thanks!!

vtec controllers arent worth it unless you have extensive valvetrain differences from stockl, and have a need to change engagement point.

i mean what if he goes turbo or supercharger, and ist the post my kabob true i think its the last one.

you dont really need one unless your gonna get it dyno-tuned to make sure the RPM you have it set to is actually making you power and not just sounding good.

I dont think that Vtec controller works with the K series motors yet. its got the I-vtec, with is mosr complicated.

So he really shouldnt get it unless hes gonna mess with his engine big time and wants to tune his car perfect right down to the valve timing? I know I ask alot of questions but I dont know much about honda engines. Thanks for answering my anoying questions

ferget about it. if he goes turbo/sc, then he should really be getting a comprehensive engine management system (i.e. ems) which will have vtec crossover control. vtec controllers will be worthless on his car (if not making it slower than stock)

Thats true, and like I said ealier, It wont work with I-vtec anyway!
