Default diff between carbon fiber hoods

what is the difference between diff brand carbon fiber hoods? like i knoww vis is the best...but what is the difference between diff hood? and grades and stuff...thanx in advance for any replys

vis isnt nesc the best.

The difference is the actual carbon to glass ratio, the type of resins they use, the resin to carbon ratio, the underframe they use, what kinda materials theyuse for the underframe and etc.


If all is right, youll get one hell of a very strong, very light part. I have yet to see a CF hood done perfectly. That said, a hood with a perfect ratio of carbon, no glass, and such, would cost a very pretty penny.

Quality and fitiment are probably the main differences between different kinds of brands just get the VIS heard nothing but good things about them.

also there are rolled edges or doubled sided, warranty, pre-drilled holes for the windshield squirters.

I got VIS it has rolled edges, a nice clear/uv coat on it, holes for windshield wiper squirter. For the squirter ou need to use some aftermarket ones, I some @ autozone for $10.00 painted em black and put them on.

Hood ins't cheap man your looking at the very very least @ 300+ shipping
