Default weird noise no clue what it is

I have a automatic and when i had it in neutral when i rev'd the rpm to about 1200 my engine was making this weird clicking noise but when i rev'd higher and fast it wont make it... I know my cylinder heads are worn a little bit, because my engine purrs when idle...(due to a oil leak which i keep having to ad dmor eoil) but that clicking / clanking noise is worrying me... please tell me if anyone of you knows what this is.. thanks

Yea, Chilton's will do the job fine, and since it goes more indepth than Helm's or Haynes, i find it to actually be superior. I wouldve gotten one myself, but i didnt find any at the local book shops, and didnt feel like waiting for a special order, so i settled for Haynes.
