2002 accord i4 sedan
my honda air filter got dirty and it's time to get a new one...
how much is honda oem air filter??? and is it better???
from local stores i saw fram #ca8133 for $8 and
STP #sa8133 for $10. these ok?

Fram and OEM are the only filters i will ever put in my accord. Honda OEM filters cost (last time i checked at my local dealership) a few dollars more than the fram filters. Honestly speaking, the fram filter is as good as an OEM filter, its just that youre going to pay a little more for the OEM b/c its got the honda name on it.

get the K&N drop in filter and remove the resonator box in the wheel well run a custom pipe from the bottom of the stock intake box and you have a custom ice box similar to the comptech one or just get a intake either AEM or Injen

If you wanna replace the the entire intake, get an AEM CAI which IMO has way better bang for your buck value than the V2. If you just want to change the filter, drop in an OEM fit K&N. You'll notice faster acceleration and improved gas mileage, from my exprience mind you.

is it worth spending 200 bucks(v2) for something that will give you like 1-2hp....
For that save yourself 150 and spend 50 on an K&N filter.
Personally I do not see myself spending 250 on something that will give me 1-2hp.
For that I save up and buy NOS.
You'll notice better gas mileage and throttle response with the K&N drop in filter.

a drop in K&N filter alone is not going to add much more the 1hp to your car. now if you remove the resonator and pipe in some cool air to the airbox that setup is worthwhile.
a drop in K&N filter is really only worth it for the cost savings not for hp.
i would get this brand instead www.greenfilterusa.com instead of a K&N since they are known let in a lot of dirt.
