Default New short throw shifter.

I just installed one of those short throw shifter adapters that I got from ebay for $12. So far Im very impressed. I only drove with it for 20 minutes tonight, but every shift is shorter (obviously), and it seems to shift more solidly. For the money it was a great mod. and very easy to install. Ive heard of people grinding gears with them, but I havent had any problems, except now shifting into reverse seems to take a bit more effort. Ebay brand short shifters get my

Default Just hooked up my ebay short shifter

Just got my ebay short shifter hooked up and it works great!!!! had a small problem with the allen bolt coming loose but other that it works great. Beats the hell outta spending $60 -$90 on a neuspeed or dc!!

Just changing the height of the shifter isn't the same as those neuspeed and DC kits, which, as I understand it, actually change the pivot point so that the shift gets shorter without getting more difficult.

Or you can quit messing with bolt on ebay stuff and get the true short shift kit which goes by PSPEC.

Why, because its cheap? How do you know you're not putting too much pressure on the wrong point in the shifter linkage? What if it breaks because you cut the stem?
