VTEC Engagement '04 Accord

Hi

Anyone know what RPM that VTEC kicks in? - 04 Accord V6 EX

Mine is 3500 RPM, so yours is probably between that and 4k. If you put in 2nd, floor it and listen carefully you should be able to hear it. With my resonator off it's obviuous.

Actually mine is at 5800 RPM (I have an RSX)

This is for my friend's car

We can't hear it very well - now we'll have a closer listen at about 3500

its hard to hear it on a stock accord due to sound suppressing materials. (i.e. OEM airbox)

When shopping for my car, I drove a used '04 6spd EX V6 with an aftermarket intake. It really accentuates the engagement point... I thought it was about 4800rpm if I remember correctly but this was about a month ago.
