Drop or lowered question.
Sup yo,
Quick question, what if you have 205/60/17 and upped to 205/50/17. Will this increase my wheel gap? I have 1.5" drop btw, it shouldnt right?
thanks

I ran the measurements and you will have over 1.5 diameter difference, which changes your speedometer reading and according to the website is not safe in regards possible break failure.
I do not know about your drop though.
"Speedometer Difference: 6.413% too fast Diameter Difference: 6.04%"
"When changing tire sizes, we recommend staying within 3% of the diameter of the original tire. Any more than this and you face the risk of brake failure."

It will increase your wheel gap. If those measurements are right, all you'd be doing is lowering the aspect ratio of the tire, making it smaller around the same wheel. Hence, more wheel gap.
So I'm confused, because you say "upped" when you're actually going to a smaller tire?

Another word, right now I have 205/60/17 and I want to change(uppgrade, uppded) to 205/50/17. Will I loose the wheel gap? I have Eibach and Yellow knoi and the stock drop are 1.5".
no your wheel gap will increase because you are going from 60(bigger) to 50(smaller) so in essence you are actually downgrading your tire size. besides what car is this and why not just use 215/45 if its an accord? just curious
Its a monsterious 6 gen Accord
. Yeah, maybe I should go with 215/45/17. Man, if you ever been to City of New York, especially in BQE(brooklyn queens expressway) and the pot hole...oh wait, let me rephrase that. Those crator its soo big, it can sink your Yugo/Civics in there w/o any problem. Another words, you need some meat from preventing getting your rims chew up

you just gotta know where not to drive on the BQE. i know just about every pothole on that dam highway. now when i put my rims on next weekend i'm taking the streets to queens and to brooklyn..
I'd say stick with what you have if you are worried about potholes. You will only make your ride stiffer with the 215/45 and have less of a 'cushion' in your tires. If you are thinking 'wider', there is only a 0.4" width difference between the 205 and 215. Just my $0.02.
Yeah stupid BQE...What's the best highway to drive in the US?
Okay back to my topic. If I put 205/50/17 will my drop still 1.5"? Now it's just 2 finers gap in the front.. and the back is always 3 or so. So if I changed to(okay this time I wont say "upgrade) 205/50/17, it's this mean I wil have 3 fingers gap in the front and 4 the back
