Can you guys tell me if this N1 style catback exhaust system is worth it? It's for a 91 Accord EX. It's selling on eracingzone.com for only $190 but they are also selling it through groupbuycenter.com for $240 shipped. it's supposed to be a complete bolt-on with no welding. I don't want anything too loud but a bit louder than stock. my stock muffler is busted and so i thought i should just replace the whole piping and muffler while i'm at it, but don't want to spend too much money. I think the tip may be a bit huge, but let me know your thoughts.

it's gonna be loud.

 

very loud, poor qaulity parts, so that muffler is gonna go out, the piping seems okay as long as your not in a snowy/rainy area otherwise it would rust out. get an quiet muffler.

 

Coffee can muffler= Vaccum Cleaner sound= Very loud, Ricey, and ANNOYING!

If you really want a good exhaust, then save your money to get a better quality exhaust such as and Apexi Ws

Back in the day I had a 93 Accord that I had a custom exhaust bent to fit. It was loud, but not as loud as a lot of people's that you see. I think the key is getting a smaller tip or dual tips. THe one I had was just a generic Arospeed muffler with mandrel-bent 2.5" pipe all the way back from the cat. It had dual 3" DTM tips on it, so not restrictive, just different looking.

It had a nice deep tone, but it droned a little at highway speed. For like $200 total into it, though, it was a pretty good value (may have been less, but I can't remember). If you're going to get an exhaust, remember that if you don't remove the restrictions before it (header, catalytic converter) that it's all just for sound and bling. Minimal power gains, I mean.

Its going be loud. If u have a Auto tranny then it wont be so loud as manual tranny. Manual tranny need to rev higher rpm. So relatively high rpm = louder noise.

 

so should i get headers and change the cat (in the future)?
