Default Miles on a 94 Accord EX Alternator???

I was just wondering how long the alternator lasts on a 94 Accord EX on average???

Has anyone had to replace one and how many miles were on your odometer?

Thank you,

MIchael

I've still got the original alternator on my 96 Accord w/ 130k miles. The 4-cyl. denso units usually last a looong time...very seldom have I heard of one fail before 10years/200k miles. Even then, usually the brushes can be replaced and the unit is good to go again.

I replaced my alternator at 183,000 miles on my 92 Accord ....was working as advertised but one of the slip rings was severely worn and it was a (short)matter of time before failure. Brushes were ok. I drive 90 miles per day and don't want to be stuck in rush hour traffic.

Default Alternator

I have 240,000 + on my 94 LX and never been replaced. In fact I have only replaced the starter and radiator. Still have the orginal timing belt.
