Default What engine do I have?

I just got a '94 Accord LX, and the guy I bought it from said he had the engine replaced withj " a much newer one". He didn't have any recipts, and was kinda shady about the whole thing. How do I find out what engine and what year it is? It's a non Vtec motor. THX

Open the hood and look down towards the block of the motor
should beto the left of the manifold towards the bottom.
Gotta look really good in there cause it might be dirty or something.

But its usually Stamped F22a, H22, etc.....

I don't think there is. Since they but that engine in more than one year, I doubt they paid much attention to dating them.
