Default Now this is a LOWWWWW price !

In my ongoing quest to find a Accord EX with leather at the lowest possible price, i got a dealer to agree to this price yesterday...$22,000 total out the door ! I can't believe they went for it.

Now the unfortunate side of the story........at that price they won't find one for me but only sell me one in current inventory. And the only one they have with manual trans is in a color i hate. I don't care how cheap it is, i can't live with a color i can't stand.

But at least now i know how low i can go. The invoice on this car w/o tax or licence is $21,727, less than $300 under the out the door price i got. Now if i can just find another dealer with the car i want who will do the same price. I'm starting to consider the possibility of cloth instead of leather because the savings is big. But i just can't stop thinking about how much nicer leather is.

And don't forget, this is the one with leather ! That adds another $1600 to the EX. But i already told them no because of the color, so even if i changed my mind i doubt they'll still do it because of human nature. I may try tho if i just can't find the one i want as cheap. Color is a big one for me tho, at least when it's one i don't like at all.

What color is it? Maybe that's why it's cheaper. I got a bang-up offer from a salesman on a light green Civic one time, but I said "no" because I couldn't stand that ugly color.

Wow... for that price, I would suck it up and go with the graphite. I doubt you'll get another dealer to get that close to invoice. But I would at least try another in the area and see how much they want your business!

Well, i would, but i just hate that color. Not just because of the look, which is the least problem with it. But it shows dirt so badly i'd have to wash it constantly, something i hate doing. In fact i saw one on the road today that obviously hadn't been washed for a while or 2 and it was just ugly as hell.Even the 2 i saw at my local dealer looked dirty as hell along with the black obes. The lighter colors all looked clean even tho they'd been sitting in the same lot outside. Silver, which is what my civic is, can go a couple months and still looks clean from 10 or 20 feet away. That and the fact i live in so cal where in the summer it's always hot as hell, dark colors absorb heat. And my car is out in the sun while i'm at work. So the extra grand i may have to pay for silver is worth it to me. after all, when you're paying that much for a car you want it to be what you want.

You'd spend over 20 grand on a brand-new car and let it go "a couple months" without washing it just because it "looks clean"?? That's just crazy (and lazy). You ever heard of acid rain? Road grime? Just because your car looks clean doesn't mean that chemicals aren't eating up your nice shiny finish. Personally, I can't go more than a week without washing my baby...
