How do I go about polishing it, if indeed that is what was done. If I can do it myself what tools will I need to do so. Or can I send it to a shop to get it done.

Going to a shop would be a waste of money on polishing something that you could just do yourself i'm guessing that you can just buy polish to clean it but not sure
