2000 Accord Brake noise
Recently my wife's car has been making loud brake noises. I took the brakes apart and found that the driver's, the side making the noise, still has 65% brake pad left. I cleaned them up and put em back together. They still make the noise after test driving.
I then thought maybe the front wheel bearing was bad. I took off the nut, but can't remove the hub.
Any suggestions on the noise source, hub removal, or what the problem might be?
Thanks

Is the noise happening when she applies the brake?
Or while shes driving she hears the squeeling?
I had that problem as well when I brake and when I drove around I could hear it slightly.
The culprit: Right rear brake pads were worn out.
Replaced em , never heard the noise again.

Do you have any brake anti squeel stuff on the pads?? That could eb the problem. Also look at the pads. Even if they are 65% they could still ahve gone bad with cracks, or interuptions with the pad facing.
