Thats what I thought,.. but I've been hearing that it's somehow bad for the engine,..which doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe they were talking about putting a breather where the pcv valve goes??

Yeah, I could forsee some problems after doing that. All that oil would eventually just clog up on the inside of the filter wouldn't it? And the intake wouldn't be getting the oil or whatever, whatever it needs it for.

nope, no problems, dont know if that also has to do with my poor mileage but my idle is fine, one time i acidently reversed it (one is plugged and one is filtered) and it kept dying everytime i started the car.

Breather filters are stupid and they just clog up with oil if you put one on. The hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake is part of the pcv system the other part is the hose that goes from IM to the Valve cover. The system cleans out the oil in and gets fresh air in then the bad gets pushed out through the intake to be burned off. There is only ONE remedy to get rid of the oil. Its called a Oil catch can. So yeah there is a reason they sel those. You can just make your own. Using a filter from lowes and running your own hoses. I dont meant to like an ass or anything, but breathers are stupid.
