Yesterday while driving home from work, I thought I stop off and grab something to drink and something to snack on. So i get off of the 118 freeway on to Balboa. I pull into the thrifty gas station, I back in and go inside. When I come out some 100 year old guys is telling me someone backed into the front of my car. So I walk to the front of my car, and lone and be hold some stupid @$$ backed into my car and jacked up my hood :rant:. All the old man knows is that a white ford truck backed up and hit my car and took off. So now there is nothing I can really do because everyone is going home at this time. If anyone lives down here in So Cal knows how bad traffic is and how everyone drives. So anyways I take off in the direction the truck left, but to no luck I did not find the truck. So now I have a hood that waves to people when I driving on the freeway. My deductible for my insurance is $500, so it is not worth turning it in. So if any has a hood that will fit a 98 accord lx that lives in So. Cal that can sell it to me, please let me know!

Sorry to hear man doesn't the gas station have video camera? Go to the police and they can issue a warrant to see the video

 

You have a witness that saw it happen.
Proof enough to issue a warrant on the video.....Hit n Run = Felony.

 

Have the cops check the tapes.

 

Afterwork today I'm going to go back and see if they have any cameras and any other information I can get. I hope they cameras, the gas station is kinda ghetto.

Sorry to hear man. The best way to get another hood dirt cheap is to go to a junk yard.

i went to a yard locally... and they wanted $75 for the interior drivers door handle. h:

 

Then you got ripped off completely then if all you got was a door handle for $75, because I bought a brand new one from the dealership for $35...
