Default 98 Accord AEM CAI REPLACEMENT FILTER?

Ok so i had my car in the shop for abtou 3 months and just got it back. I have had a AEM CAI on it for about 3 years or so. And to my recollection i think i may have cleaned it once. ( yeah yeah i know). Anyhow although i had my engine replaced im pretty sure this is not part of my problem. When i accelerate once i get past 4k RPM it gets REALLY loud. The more i push on the accelerator the louder it gets. It totally sounds like its coming fromt he intake. Seeing how old my filter is and the lack of it being cleaned , is this the problem? What is the replacement filter size? Im not too sure what size to ask for if i go to pep boys or whatever? Any help?

probably the motor. You have a different motor in the car so it not going to run like the old way, maybe was built a little different.

:werd: Those filters aere built to last, and unless there is something physically wrong with it then cleaning it really well should be just fine.

hmmm. ihave the regular k&N drop in filter it's great but i clean it with the special cleaning kit for it it's like 9 bux and it come with that special red oil. i clean mine every 4 months snice is so dusty out here where i drive. BUT ONE ADVICE FROM ME> Please pay 9 bux and get the kit cuz if you just wash it and dry it without putting that oil on it it will screw up the filter pluse it won't filter good and will sound like shit basicaly.
