I recently squeezed out 429 miles on a tank of gas, you?

 

I always get 400 +

 

same here, with 200K+ miles on the odometer

 

how much of that mileage is freeway driving guys?

 

You guys are lucky, I only get about 275 miles out of my Vigor. :wtc:

 

I really don't know but if I do all highway I get about 400+ But when 50/50 about 330.

 

I do all city driving, stop and go and a lot of hills where I live, I get 275. I checked the air filter and oil filter and thats all good. I bought some fuel injection cleaner, maybe that will help. Other then that i've been pretty pissed about it. But yea, I seriously do 90% city driving and I try to conserve gas, shifting at 3 rpms and a lil over that if i'm going uphill, I avoid using reverse and all that other gas saving tips, keeping the tires inflated and all that.

 

I get about 365 miles on about 12 and a half gallons, with mixed city and hway driving. I havent yet filled up on a completely empty tank. How empty does it have to be til the gaslight comes on? I let it get slightly below the E before i fill up but the gaslight still doesnt come on and it was still only 13 gallons when it hit automatic shutoff, so i dont see how it could be 17.1 gallons totally empty

 

yeah, that sounds like what I get, pretty close at least.

 

none...always shift under 3k rpm...use cruise control as much as possible
