Default Own the top of the line DX 6th gen?....then say Hi to exclusivity.

Am I the only one here with a DX 6th gen or are there others? If you're one of the proud DX owners then holla back....DX represent!
If not then list your trim. I'm betting the most common one is EX eh?

PS: I posted this thread because I've so far come across only one other DX 6th gen EVER!!!....so I was wondering if I'm something special

I have one at home too (2001)! hehe. you don't see too many of them.

Sadly, we have a 134-hp I4 when the other models LX and EX have 150-hp engines

My DX:
- (value package) = installed air conditioning, painted door moldings, installed cd player + radio
- self installed power door locks
- self installed alarm

Whoa!....to tell you the truth, I wasn't expecting anyone here on this board to have one. Glad to see another collector.
I just had a look at you image gallery....thats a lot of accords on that driveway:shocked:  Do you own a Honda dealership?
I really like your coupe too, very sessy. I bet you must've spent quite a bit on her. Especially the sound system! I can imagine how much that RF amp alone must've cost you...let alone the dual solobarics.

PS: Yeah 134 Hp isn't much to write home about but that still hasn't stopped me from lightly modifying mine

Actually, I currently have the luxury of 2 cars, one is my DX and the other is my friends 2k2 civic HX coupe in black (he's gone home for the summer and left me with his car). This civic has shown me why people love civics so much. The HX I believe comes with a VTEC engine that produces nearly as much HP as my DX...HX civic = 130 HP...I think.....but lacks a lot of torque. The seats are much more supportive, handling is tighter, it has Power Mirrors and Power Door Locks and comes with remote keyless entry...and the worst part....it gets 33 miles to the gallon in the the city....DAMN that bastard! But I still wouldn't trade it for my DX...it just doesn't feel right.

Hahah. Yeah, we have four (4) sixth gen accords...

dad - 2000 Accord EX V6 sedan black
me - 2000 Accord EX V6 coupe black
mom - 2001 Accord VP/DX sedan silver
bro - 2002 Accord EX V6 sedan white

Thanks for the comment. We get good deals on the price of Accords. We got all of the EX V6's for $22k, financed. My dad's old classmate is the financial manager of the dealership (Goudy Honda).

As for the system, it's free. My neighbor gave it to me because she has to return her GS400 off the lease and she never installed it before.

About the HX, don't bag on the hx - I was gonna choose it for my mom because I really liked the gas mileage. It's quite expensive though right? Like between the LX and EX model for its price. It has REALLY good gas mileage.

As for the talk about the DX model, my dad was like "we shoulda bought you this car so you can 'fix it up' first - like install power windows and door locks" as a joke...

...well, the power door locks are on now aren't they?

OK, the DX novelty is now starting to wear off....
Especially after oofrost posted that pic. That looks really great oofrost...way to represent What has changed since the pic was taken?

JonHsiung - Wow...a true Honda family...and that too an accord family.
Send your neighbour to Indianapolis...I envy your good fortune. Yup, the HX stands between the LX and the EX and gets remarkably good mileage, 33 in the city and 42 on highway. I've been driving it all over and it seems to make me want to improve mileage ever time I get in. Also, I wasn't bagging on the civic, was instead praising its abilities in my previous post.
