6th Gen Accord Heatshield Bolt Broken
Like the topic says....I broke the one of the 3 bolts that hold the heat shield for the exhaust manifold. The top right bolt broke when I tried to unlosen it. Probably rusted out. Anyway I want know if it'd be safe to drill out the broken stud so I can replace the bolt. Will I damage the stock header by doing so? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Yeah, those things are in there good haha...I once broke a cheapo ratchet head taking that off when I first got my car. As long as you do it right...it'll be fine to drill out the broken bolt. You can try using an "easy out" to extract it.
Here's a couple sites tha may offer some tips:

I did the same thing! You'll need the following to get them out:
1.A hope
2.A prayer
3.Luck
I'm just playin...jschmid is right. Two of my bolts snaped right off. I've diven around with one for the longest time. Doesn't matter now, I got some headders.
