v6 or 5sp
well if you guys dont know i got a 98 accord lx 4cy sedan auto, got a body kit, speakers, alarm, aem cai just a couple other things, but i found a 01 sedan v6 fully loaded that just came in at my job (i work at a dealership, but i'm only 17, so no 04 v6 6sp) my question is do you guys think i should snatch the v6 or wait to see if a manual 5sp accord comes in?
yeah i think i might snatch it, how much do you all think i can get for a 98 sedan 91k miles, dealer serviced and new paint job, with ww wtype body kit, magnaflow exhaust, aemcai, speakers, viper alarm, stock spoiler and rims
alll that shit is gonna decrease the trade in value because nobody will want to buy it like that except another guy like you...and that new paint job will really hurt it...anytime u repaint a car used car dealers automatically think ITS BEEN WRECKED... oh, im in sales at a honda/chevy/hyundai/used car dealership lol...go to NADA.com and look up the trade in value on the car, i can tell u now u wont get str8 NADA trade in value...the main thing used car managers look for is if it has been painted/wrecked, miles, year, condition, and what the market's bringing...like our manager appraises up to 40-50 cars a day, and goes to auction 3-4 times a week so he really knows the market value for certain cars, most used car managers that have any kind of experience will be able to hit it right on, but be prepared, your car isn't worth as much as u think it is lol
I'm a fan of 5sp... You got to weigh the options of better initial speed (5spd :goodjob: ), or higher top end speed (with the v6 slush box  )
...Sorry to you HAN auto driver's if I have affended you

higher top end speed, I doubt, since in most cases automatic transmissions aren't geared that way when compared to their 5 speed brother. Seriously, 4 gears < 5 gears....and in most cases that I've personally seen, the auto still comes out short on the high end.
the only time not to drive a 5 speed, is in a car not intended for speed....or a car that has sevreal hundred horsepower ....300+ ;o)

Both options are tempting. As a rule I shy away from any and all slush boxes. I guess it all depends what you really want in the car. Sure the V6 has more HP and loaded but is that more important to you than feeling connected to the car via the 5spd? Make sense? If I was into a S***load of commuting I'd fall on my sword and get an auto. For any other reason I'd get a stick.
