Hoping some Accord owners near me can give tips on good places to go. The place I was going to go, Vogt's near Westminster, MD, has apparently shut down. After having gotten my 1988 Honda Accord inspected, I need the following replaced:

* steering rack
* pair of brake calipers
* possibly muffler & exhaust pipes

I need the windshield replaced too; it has a crack that is too high and large to pass, it turns out. Any good glass places in this area that won't charge an arm and a leg?

I have the Chilton manual for my year range and from looking at it feel pretty confident that my girlfriend's dad and I can do the labor on the rack and calipers ourselves, I just need to make the deposit for a ball joint separator at Auto Zone or someplace like that. Anybody done these jobs before and know of any "gotchas" to look out for?
