Default fuel filter

ok well this has been happening for a couple months, but by my back left tire in front of it, when my car has been ideling for a while you hear this clicking, well since i work at a car dealership one of the guys i work with put it up on a bay and said it was my fuel filter, a little cylinder with a whole bunch of wires going to it, you can feel it clicking at the top of it, or as he said pumping. what do you think the problem is?

sounds like the fuel pump not the fuel filter, filter makes no noise that i'm aware of.

What year Accord??

Our '98 has the EVAP system charcoal canister back there, just forward & inboard of the left-rear wheel. There's a couple solenoid valves in that system, & they're supposed to be opening & closing. There's pressure sensors, so if it's not working, you'll throw codes (P1456 & P1457).

My 99 V6 has always made clicking or quick popping noises when you listen on the bottom left side of the vehicle. I'm pretty sure there's a tiny hole in the exhaust tubing.

Read my post, that's what the dealership told me when I had 20k miles. Nothing to worry about.
