Default K & N typhoon for 6th gen V6?

I need to replace my filter and it seems like a good way to add a few horses. Any thoughts?

It will not add a few horses...it will not even add one horse. It is a filter all it does is filter air. Some filters work more efficiently than others allowing less resistance and therefore allowing the air to reach the throttle body at a cooler temperature, but do not mistake a slightly improved throttle response as HP gains.

Aside form that they seem to work just fine...I personally prefer the regular K&N cones just out of habit.

Does anyone know how easy the installation is for a 98? I have read some reviews that say installation can be a pain but nothing for the same year as mine.

I installed an AEM V2 into my friends V6 accord and that was a simple install.

I found my intake more difficult to install since the throttle body is further back in the engine on the 4cyl. Even that was easy.

on a 1 - 10 scale (10 being hardest)
drop in air filter 1
short ram intake 2
cold air intake 4

thats for my '99 4cyl
for the v6 the intake is on the opposite side but its shorter and shouldnt be more difficult
