At first, I thought he was talking about those new things that are suppose to sound like turbos. I was so gonna bust on him. I personally think those throttle bodies are a waste. I would take it to a bore shop, and have it bored out to where the swirls end. This will give you a bigger throttle body. You can bore it yourself if you are patient and handy. Second, I would say that no, it is not in backwards. Anything that makes a turbo sound to me, would be telling me that a restriction is taking place to make that noise. I doubt it can be put on backwards, but I could be wrong on that. Last, All of those things you have put on, focus on top end, so down low I can understand it, but on top, you should be pulling on him. Check the engine numbers, maybe it has a swap done before he bought it or something. One last thing before I go. It is possible with headers and CAI that you are running way lean, and your car is running flat. I would take it to a dyno if you have the money, and see what the A/F ratio is. My 93 with just a CAI is only at 12:1 ratio. I am gonna get a adjustable FPR soon. Good luck
The few ponies that the 5th gen 4banger is lacking vs your 6th gen 4 banger (I'm assuming) can easily overcome the added weight of your car, system, and a really big factor that people overlook; your rims.
ok i have a 96 ex 4dr at and i can woop on single slammer civic's all day long all i have in I/H/E VAFC plugs and wires with 18's and i can walk on a civic on a SOHC civic ex all the time one of my friends has one and i beat him all the time, so if i were you dood i would jsut take out the TBS and just try it with out
