91 accord, only starts level or nose down on a hill...
i picked up a 220k accord recently, and it has this really strange starting problem. if the car is level, it starts fine, if the nose is facing down, it starts fine, but if the rear of the car is lower than the nose (even by a 6 inches, like on a hill) then it just cranks and cranks, but won't start up.
the only thing i can think of is that something is getting in the combustion chamber, and since the exhaust is on the front of the engine, when the nose is facing down, its easier for the piston to push it out of the chamber, vs when the tail is is down.
but of course i might know nothing, as i'm new to the honda's...anyone see this problem before? (the very first time it happened, i kept cranking and it eventually fouled the plugs with gas, so i know its getting the gas...)
