Default Not starting. Help ASAP.

Hey, this afternoon i was cleaning the car and i disconnected the baterry to clean it also. The battery must have been out for about an hour. I put the battery back in, started the car fine, and drove and parked it on my street. A few hours later, i try to start the car and it dies out on my. There no power. The door lamps are still on. When i try to boost it from my dad's car, the battery cahrges and i can turn on the headlights and stuff, but then when i try to start the car... it just dies out on me. When i take the jumper cables off and put em back on, the charge comes back, but same thing.. it wont start. What can be the problem? im trying to get it started by tomorrow morning. Help please. I know disconnecting the battery for 15 mins resets the ECU, does this have anything to do with it?

Something similar happened to me. Turns out I left the map lights and dome light on which drained the battery in about an hour.

could also be the alternator. If it's screwed, it won't charge the battery, and won't supply enough power to the vehicle's electrical system either.
