Default Wierd prob 5th gen

Ok weird problem is that when I accelerate its like something is holding my car back, I have my foot to the floor and its lagging, not the tranny all the gears work its like my car crawls through rpm, god it takes a while to get up to 40mph, when I first start my car and go its fine then a couple blocks then that happens, I can drop the gear from 3 to 2nd (example) it doesn’t even pick up man, Is it fuel filter, fuel injectors? Or something in that neighborhood? I wish I could explain it better other than it’s like someone holding my car back or something, bogging through rpm/mph.. It would take forever to get the car up past 40mph. It's hard to pull out cuz you don't know if your going to get in front of the car and lagg going hella slow. Wtf ?
Any one know of any suggestions or answers?

Thanks,
wesside

Are you sure that it is running on all cylinders? Sounds like what happens when you loose a cylinder due to lack of fuel or lack or spark

Is the check engine light comming on? Does it work?

If the motor was sufficently fuel starved, I would think that it would run like real shit, bucking and stuff, not just crawling through the rpms..

Let us know some more details, personally, I had an ecu go bad and produced some weird ass fricking symptoms that took about 3 months to track down..

Its a f22b with 200,000 miles on it, last tune up was like 160,000 or so. It seems to do ok till like 3,000k then after that it hella boggs down and is laggin through the rest of the rpm's. Usually its after 3k that I get the most power. As far as the check engine light thats always on because I dont have the o2 sensor on my dc headers. Some times when I just start it I can put in 1st and red @7,000 then second push the red too, then after crusing for a min it goes back to laggin hard most after 3,000 rpm's like maybe its starving for fuel bad? Thanks

If it is throwing codes, you should start there. It could be an injector clogging / clogged, or a spark problem, or something totally different

Thank you, I will try some fuel injector cleaner, and check the spark plugs. I don't know where the connecter is to get the ecu checked, I will look for it.

I know it may sound random, but did you suck any water into your engine? A buddy of mine somehow splashed water into his engine while washing it. It still ran, but it ran reall crappy and bogged at certain rpms. Just somethin to think about. Also have someone do a cylinder compression test.
