I dunno, but my front windshield is mad hazy. I found out the guy who he had clean the car before he sold it to me got armor-all on the windshield when he was cleaning the inside. Then I had my brother help me wash/clean my car one day. He accidentally grabs the TIRE CLEANER () instead of the windex and goes to work on my front windshield.

Now it's farked on the inside AND the outside. I got no clue how to fix it, I've tried washing it, windex, 20/20 glass cleaner... nothin works well. Do I need a whole new windshield now?! Or is there some professional place that can clean it?

 

Try simple green, dont dilute it at all. You might want to use it with a buffer/polisher on the outside, with a wool pad to really clean the stuff off of there.

I tried that Eagle 20/20 Glass Cleaner ****. It's supposed to be pretty strong. It helped some, but it's still not completely clean.

 

you can try some of that oxy clean **** that they advertise on the tv or maybe the orange glo stuff. those stuff works like magic.

 

I would recommend you go to your local Ace Hardware and get some Glass Wax. I forget who the manufacturer is, but there is nothing better for cleaning your glass.

 

All cars that have been manufacturered in the past 20 years have safety glass that actually has a coat of plastic on the outside and inside of the glass. Chances are, the acidic wheel cleaner probably ate into the plastic layer. But before you trash it, clean it with some automotive specialty glass cleaner like EagleOne 20/20. Dry it with newspaper which will actually shine the glass. Then either use something like RainX or RainX windshield wax to fill in the pits on your glass. Apply two coats and buff it out THOROUGHLY with a clean terry towel. Buff it out like you would buff out automotive wax on paint and then rinse the windsheild to get rid of the streakiness it may leave behind.

If all else fails, crack your windsheild and claim it on insurance (just a joke, don't report me for insurance fraud please )

 

Hahaha. Good recommendations. I have the 20/20 glass cleaner at home and I like it...But since it's not cutting it in this case, I'd suggest what the guy above me just said.

...except the insurance thing. Your deductible is probably higher than a new windshield replacement.
