What "generation" is my 1999 Accord... and why is this important?

6th gen and most ppl on this board go by what generation accord instead of stating the yrs cuz its much quicker and simpler.

on that site thr are generation 6 DIY, if you searched in google, 1999 accord stereo help, then this wouldnt have came up.
oh and keep that DIY, it might come in handy.

Let see, it's was the gen before 7 and after my 5th Gen, I guess it's 6?

1998-2002 = 6th

generations are a way of categorizing major changes in pretty much everything (body/engine/etc)...each gen lasts 4 yrs w/ a facelift every 2
