do u guys think its worth it to swap in a ex motor into a lx? the guy is getting rid of his for 400...how much would a swap cost me? i know i am not going to do a h22 swap...not anytime soon but...this is mroe in my price range...how much do u think labor will cost, also i am going turbo soon...

well, considering its the same basic engine, you would be wasting money. Do alittle searching, as of recent, because someone had talked about the differences. its like the ecu, intake, exhaust manifolds, cam etc. I am under the understanding from some searches, that do these things to your F22A1, and you will spend less, and make more horsepower
1. delta regrind cam $100 272 lift
2. cold air intake $100
3. headers $200
I am actually gonna add to that list myself, by putting on Prelude injectors because they are bigger, and a fuel controller. But those will set you back another $300-400ish.

 

oh so if i do that stuff i should have basically a ex engine? i was really just looking for vtec the vtec aspect of it..

 

this is 93 LX vs. 93 EX, or other years? If it is a 93 EX I don't think that is a Vtech??? Maybe someone else could jump in.

 

no, if u checked under my name, i havbe a 97 engine now...its a 97 ex engine vs and 97 lx engine...and its VTEC...
