Default 96 grill swap

my 96 grill mounting has that big H in the middle. if i were to use a 94/95 one with the crossbar cut out would it be very noticable?

also if i do buy the 94/95 mounting would it fit?

usually when you buy a used grill, the 2 parts are included. The painted part of a 94-95 grill will not fit on the 96-97 grill. The 96-97 grill is all one piece, then the "H" and chrome trim are secured to it with screws.

A 94-95 style grill will fit a 96-97 car without a problem, you'll just need the entire grill, not just the painted part.

What are you talking about? The 96-97 grill is not one piece, and several 96-97 owners swapped to 94-95 grills with no problems just like seipel.

Actually, it is one piece... tell me how its more than one piece?

and I never said you cant swap to a 94 style grill... I said the painted part of the 94 style grill wont fit a 96 style grill, like he was asking.

If swapping from a 94-95 to a 96-97 grill, you swap out the entire front grills. On a 96-97 thats the black plastic + the chrome outer grill; thats 2 pieces. and if you remove them, then you can put a 94-95 grill in its place.

the hoods are the same (with the exception of the emblem holes, 96-97 hood does not have them) The V6 hoods are longer, and wont fit a 4 cylinder.
