Default painting stock muffler...

is it ok to paint the stock muffler in black??

wut kind of paint should i use??????

like high temperature resistant??? something like that?

or is there a kind of paint especailly made for this kind of job?

actual product name would be good too....

BBQ and Stove paint works very nice... and it has a nice, semi-gloss finish.

Just read the can when you buy the paint, it will tell you what its maximum temperature is... the muffler does not get TOO hot, but ordinary spray paint may not hold up to the heat very well.

i wanted to do that t my car just like silver .. but i am afraid i will spray my bumper lol even if i tape and paper it off lol

I used the high temp bbq type flat black paint on my mufflers about 2 years ago, still holding up great.

where did u get the tip???? it looks REAL nice.............

i wanna do mine just like urs........ black paint and silver tip.....


o and when u paint did u take ur muffler off?? or just painted with it on?

if u did.. then how did u take it off?

Thanks, it's actually a TL-S muffler. I painted the muffler before installing. I painted the pipes after the custom welding was all done.

High temp bbq paint, flat black from Rustoleum is what I used.
