Default muffler help....i searched!!

alrite.. i have searched and i have narrowed my choices down to

1. magnaflow
2. Thermal R&D
3. Apexi WS

My friend has the WS and i really like it.... nice and quiet... how much louder are the other two muffler compared to the WS?? i have the greddy SP now, but it's falling apart.... need new muffler soon... clips of the muffler sounds would be great! also, where can i get good prices on them??

btw, can i just get the muffler section?? i have the catback from the Greddy SP... thanx

www.sounddomain.com has been a good place for me to find high performance parts so far. In terms of exhaust sounds, no clue, but I am interested in knowing as well because I'll probably get an exhaust mod sometime in the next few months too.

I have 2.25 in piping and a magnaflow muffler, and I think it sounds great. It has a nice aggresive tone, but at the same time it dosen't sound like a pissed off weed eater.

i have the greddy SP now and i think it's too loud, esp on the freeway.... i also know for sure that the WS is very quiet, sometimes too quiet... how does the magnaflow and thermal r & d fare against these two?? i want something louder than the WS but softer than the SP....

Have you looked at the Power Effects exhaust? You can adjust how loud (as well as the amount of back pressure) by rotating a knob. The knob rotates a baffle to route air through the dampners or straight through like open pipes (6 different settings.)

I'd post a sound clip but it wouldn't mean much as my car has a 350 in it and wouldn't really be representative of the type of sound you would get.

I'm happy with my WS because it is quiet. I don't want to be like the other weed-eaters with fart-can mufflers. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice and quiet.

Ehh...if you don't want something that is loud on the freeway, stay away from the magnaflow. It's not unbearable, but it is loud.
