Default cleaning and protecting wheels

So I'm heading home for a bit cause it's spring break, and i'd like to put my rims back on. What does everyone use to clean them up?

I'm also kind of worried because there is still a good chance of bad weather up at school, would waxing them protect them more from sand/salt?

i learned this week that waxing shouldn't be done. soap, water, and a soft spounge only.

i saw Meguiar rim wipes at the store this week. i'll pick them up and let you know how it goes.

Just clean them regularly and avoid salt (to avoid wearing the clearcoat) is my best advice.

If you wash them regularly, all you would need is the regular car wash soap that you use on your car. Every now and then if you have some built up dirt, try Eagle On wheel cleaner which can be found at any car store, or even Walmart, Target, Etc.

If you use a synthetic Wax/Polish/Sealant like Klasse, Finish First, Zaino, 1Z, Meguairs new NXT wax, etc, etc, then by all means after cleaning your rims up, put a coat on. It will make future cleaning much easier. If you use regualr carnauba waxes, dont bother, they'll break down due to heat too quickly to give you any benefit.
