Default Estimated wreck cost...

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I have a '99 Accord LX. Today while leaving for work I slid on a turn going about 35 or so and slid over some water right up and over a curb. Sorry, I didn't have a camera with me so I wasn't able to take any pictures. But....my front passenger side wheel caught most of the blow. The wheel is an oval, tire flat. It was pushed back into the fender (axle bent, CV joint busted) the fender is pretty jacked up, the hood looks a little crooked and that side of the bumper too. Also, my driver's side rear wheel is bent and tire cut wide open.

I know I was going a bit fast for a turn, didn't see the water there. I know I know, I'm retarded, I got what was coming to me, etc. Please don't post these "blah blah blah, you should drive more responsibly" posts. It's Friday, I was free from vocational school, heading to work to make $$$. What can I say, I got a little happy and I'm paying for it big time. But anyways, back to the matter at hand. How much do you think it will cost to get fixed? I don't want to tell my insurance company just b/c they already took my firstborn away. I don't want the cost jacked up anymore. My baby is currently mangled up at the dealer waiting to be fixed. I would try and do some of it myself, but I rather not. I can change fluids, rotate tires, the normal maintenance stuff, but I don't know hardly anything about repairing cars. So also, please, no telling me to do it myself and save money, that's not really a possibility for me. Just straight up cost. Thank you.

Your dealer can't help you with an estimate? My guess would be at least $3K.

2 or 3k im thinking ... get your car to a body shop though it will be cheaper than having the dealershit do it.

Yeah, but the woman I talked to said they wouldn't even be able to look at my car until Tuesday.

Wow, $2-$3k, lol, and I just got that thing payed off. Ah well, better than the '91 Mercury Grand Marquis I used to drive, it finally died at 320k miles. So uh, where'd you say that money that grows on trees?

What do you mean by this?: I don't want to tell my insurance company just b/c they already took my firstborn away.

First child or car?

If you have full coverage on the car, I would honestly throw down the deductable and take whatever the insurance place is going to charge you because of the accident and have that shiat fixed by the insurance. I mean 3k is a hefty amount to pull right out of your ass.

Otherwise, if you don't want to report it to insurance, fix it and be on your merry way. BUT if you plan on selling it in the future, you will have to say that this car has been in an accident and no insurance was involved.....then you'll end up with a ass load more shit to deal with.

You see those bikes hanging, hahahaha your new means of transportation. I would just like the insurance take care of it because its goign to cost a whole lot more tahn 2-3k. I would just do a H22 swap for $4000.00.

body:
Hood CF : 300.00 (non OEM)
Fender : 200.00 (non OEM)
Bumper : 150.00 (non OEM)
Paint : 500.00
Steelie : 50.00
-----------------
Total $1,200 of Body damage so you have $2,800 for engine work. Thats what i am guessing it may cost.

If his axle is bent he's gonna need a whole lot more than a new rim. Whole corner of the suspension is probably bent.
