Default Tis the season...

For Potholes. I drive in Albany, NY alot, and the roads there suck ass. I hit a pretty big one, and luckily it didnt pop the tire or bend my rim, but it did mess up my new wheel bearing. Also, the suspension on that side makes a squeak now when I hit bumps.

Has anyone filed a sucsessful suit against a city for damage to their car? Ive heard of people getting money out of Albany... but I have no idea how to go about it... if I need a lawyer, screw it cause thats $$ I dont have.

Please share your experiences...

I had a similiar problem a while ago here in NC.

Ran over a pothole right after a turn at night...gave me a flat, slightly damaged my wheel, and I had to get a front end alignment. Thankfully I wasnt lowered then...

But I took some pictures of the pothole and filed a complaint to the city hoping to get some compensation, but I mailed it about 7 months ago and still no reply.

IMO it wasn't worth it to go thru the trouble of making all those calls and mailings, and even if they do give you some money I doubt it would be alot.

dang, same here, i hot a contructional pothole, they didn't have any signs at all. Luckily i wass driving slow, and was able to brake at 20-30mph. it hits real loud. My 18 racing hart didn't dent whatever, but that side gave be the buzzing sound since then, like a rattling loosed bolt or something, need to check it out.
