Default Used 1994 accord ex

Hey, I want to know if $4100 is a good price for a 1994 accord ex 5-speed. It has around 141k miles on it, and it's a sedan. The color is beige and the bumper has been hit a bit, but thats not a problem. Should I buy it or wait for more cars to come in at Carmax.

IMO it's not bad for an EX.
141,000 miles --> lets say the car is 8 years old --> around 17,625 miles per year. Not bad either.
Just make sure the hit is not bad and no major repair/maintenance is due.
You can buy a new bumper and have it painted for pretty cheap now.

Also, please check again, i didn't do any thorough research on the market price for my opinion above.

good luck

In March I paid $8000 for a 94 EX sedan, 5 speed... only 64,000 miles though.

I'd say thats a fair price. As long as the interior is in good shape & that bumper hit isnt too hard... there shouldnt be any rust on it if its from down there (GA). If there are pictures, just make sure everything looks in place, and relatively clean, so you know the car was taken well care of. Its always best to look at the car in person and drive it... listen for weird noises... blah, blah... I could go on forever. Best yet, see if you can take it to a mechanic YOU know (that is if you are close to the car and can drive it), see what they think of the car and if they can spot any possible problems.

i'd run it on carfax to see if it has been thru too many owners. Past the 2nd owner, repairs start getting "cheaped out on" - i.e. RIGGED. Check all the fluids....does the brake fluid look like tar (indicator of less than great repair history)? If an automatic, does the fluid smell burned (no oil changes - excess tranny wear)? Look under the radiator cap...do you see oil floating around (head gasket failure)? Is there some eggy stuff floating around (radiator stop-leak used)? Check the rear panels too where the rear bumper meets the quarter panel. I've read there's a water trap and rust tends to start there. Listen to the idle...smooth? Rev it...let it go back to idle...still smooth? Does the A/C blow cold? Is there cigarette burns in the ashtray (indicates a smoking car)? Is the spare tire all worn up (indicates a cheap bastard who couldn't afford to have the tire fixed immediately)? Do all four tires match and have even wear? Use a refrigerator magnet to check for "bondo" repairs all around the body...check for spots that the magnent DOESN'T stick = body damage. Drive it...does the car track straight when you let the steering wheel go? Does it pull to one side? Let the car warm up completely...stick your hand in front of the exhuast pipe...does that sheit really REALLY stink (back convertor/ bad o2 sensor/possible emmision failure)? Has the tranny ever been replaced? If so..was it honda that did it? If not...reman'd auto trannies are the worst! Check the carfax...if you see 'auction'...multiple owners....lease use....salvage (duh)...or flood...walk away...

You get what you pay for...unless you happen to jack a family driven car from a family that doesn't know what its worth....(heh heh)

hope you find something out of this!

I have a 94 Accord 4dr DX (5spd) that I'm prob gonna sale...takin offers on it now. It's no beauty....but i like it and i think it looks pretty cool. With a lil $ it'll be perfect. It has high miles but all belts, water pump, clutch, and front axel just replaced not too long ago...still runs perfect. has a few mods (intake, header, exhaust, rims, lowered)
Shoot me an email if interested...guarantee it'll be cheaper than 4,100$
